Jeanna James

Jeanna grew up in Austin and was lucky to hike all around Central Texas with her dad, Ranger Bob Carroll, including hikes to the grotto before it was known as Westcave Preserve. Jeanna spent countless afternoons hunting for arrowheads and fossils on her godparent’s land, carving out gourds to make tea party cups, and searching for tadpoles in tiny creek rivulets. Jeanna loves wildlife, is a backyard birder, and has rescued and nursed back to health baby fawns, cats, dogs, birds, chickens, and even snakes. Jeanna received her Bachelor of Arts in English at The University of Texas at Austin and has over 20 years of leadership experience helping high-tech companies form and drive strategic alliances, channel programs, and sales routes to market. As a member of the Westcave Preserve Board, Jeanna seeks to raise awareness, mobilize support, and help the local residential and commercial communities experience the beauty and peace of Westcave Preserve.
