Birds & Flowers & Brew – Oh my!

Our Spring Conservation Program listing will include old classics like the Spring Bird Walks and Wildflower Walks along with the introduction of our newest event: Birds & Brew.

Spring Bird Walks: Join us for bird walk this spring led by local avian biologist! Westcave hosts over 170 species of birds and spring migration is one of the best times to experience our avian population. From the endangered golden-cheeked warbler to the colorful painted bunting we have it all! All levels of birding are welcome.

Spring Bird Walks start at 8 AM and are by registration only:

  • March 26th
  • April 14th
  • April 23rd
  • May 7th

Birds & Brew: This new event debuts May 5th at 5:30 PM as a birding and social event! Top avian biologists will lead bird hikes and then the evening will conclude with a BYOB and a snack to share on the patio of the Environmental Learning Center while listening for the endangered golden-cheeked warbler! Registration required.

Wildflower Walks: Spring is the perfect time to witness the Hill Country transform into a painted landscape. Join us for an expert-guided walk about wildflowers on the Uplands and find out what is blooming. The walks will wind through a mile and a half of our Upland Trails.

Wildflower Walks begin at 10:30am and are by registration only:

  • April 21st
  • May 12th
