Visitor Safety Protocols

  • Access to the Preserve is by reservation only

  • Guests will pre-screen and affirm healthy status prior to arrival at Westcave​

  • We require guests to wear a face mask/covering that covers their nose and mouth with certain limited exceptions based on a July 11th order from Travis Country Judge Sam Briscoe. CLICK HERE to read complete order.

  • Request that each visitor use hand sanitizer after exiting their vehicle.​

  • While wearing gloves, the guide wipes all canyon trail railings as they exit, using approved cleaner/disinfectant and a cloth rag.

  • Non-wooden benches – sprayed with disinfectant at the end of each day.​

  • Metal picnic tables (if used) - sprayed with disinfectant at the end of each day.​

  • Two composting toilets are available for guest usage. Restrooms will be stocked with an EPA-approved disinfectant or a diluted bleach solution (1/3 cup of bleach per gallon of water). Guests will be asked to spray down all surfaces they have touched with the disinfectant provided and then prop door open when exiting to ventilate the restroom. Restroom will be cleaned at the end of the day by staff or as needed. ​

  • Sinks for hand washing - cleaned routinely and disinfected at the end of the day or as needed. ​
