Lindsay Loftin

Environmental Education Programs Manager

Lindsay Loftin is Westcave's Environmental Education Programs Manager and comes to us with an extensive background in connecting communities to nature. Lindsay graduated with a degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Environmental Education from Warren Wilson College. She's spent time teaching science in low-income schools in North Carolina, leading cave exploration field trips in her home of Austin, Texas and in 2012 managed the environmental education programs for Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge in Washington state. She completed an advanced Outdoor Educator NOLS course in Alaska and in 2016 founded Mermaids for Clean Water, the world's first water quality education non-profit that utilizes the archetype of the mermaid to inspire children to create a clean water future. She is now a graduate student at Texas State University completing her Masters degree in Sustainability Studies. Lindsay loves Texas's wild places from Big Bend to Galveston and is so excited to guide you on the trails at Westcave.
