El Ranchito is a nature-immersion camp for children from low-income families. A project of the Shield Ranch Foundation, El Ranchito is a collaboration between the Shield Ranch, El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission and Westcave Outdoor Discovery Center. Each summer, El Ranchito campers live outdoors on the beautiful Shield Ranch and learn all about the natural world. They have the time of their lives -- and also become our next generation of environmental stewards.

Westcave supports El Ranchito with nature curriculum and program planning, and hosts field trips and family picnics for each camp session.
