STEMLANDIA

  • Jamie Larsen, Educational Gaming Environments (EdGE) at TERC

STEMlandia uses nature to facilitate STEM-infused play. Developed in cooperation with an arboretum, it builds on the popularity of geocaching to introduce STEM concepts tied to STEMcaches near plants. Players navigate to a cache, solve a puzzle to get credit for a find, and learn while having fun exploring the world around them.
