Grant has been a conservation intern since September 2016. Born and raised in the Houston suburb of Pearland, he has been attending Texas State University for the past six years. He graduated with a B.S. with majors in Aquatic Biology and Geography-Resource and Environmental Studies in 2015 and is currently working toward a M.S. in Geography. His interest in wildlife and the environment began at a young age spending time at his grandparent’s home on the Texas coast. Grant has worked as an educator at the Downtown Aquarium-Houston as well as interned with the Houston Zoo and the Galveston Bay Estuary Program of the TCEQ. He has many environmental interests including habitat and resource conservation, habitat restoration, and environmental policy and hopes to have a meaningful career in conservation and environmental stewardship.
