Suzy Gardner Rowley is truly an ‘Austinite’ born and raised in Austin, TX. She graduated from Concordia Lutheran College with a degree in Child Development. After teaching pre-school for several years she married and started a family. As the mother of two sons Boy Scouts became a big part of their lives. Since then, teaching and enjoying the out of doors with young people has grown into a passion for her. As her passion grew, so did dedicating her time to volunteering in various activities that embody nature, such as: scouting, teaching mountain biking to women and children, becoming a Burnet County Master Gardening member, and maintaining trails at Candlelight Ranch and the Balcones Canyonlands. Suzy is also a member of Impact Austin and serves on the Board of the Christi Center.
Professionally, she has owned an Advertising Agency, ProActive Media, for the last 14 years. Suzy has also served as the Executive Director of the Texas Heritage Songwriters Association for 3 years.
She and her husband now reside on the North Shore of Lake Travis. She spends most of her time in her garden, playing with her dog Hank, and volunteering. Travel is another important part of her life, especially when it involves camping and hiking in State and National Parks around the United States.
